Jilda Simpson has recently completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of New South Wales. With her media and communications studies, she is interested in exploring multimedia and new technologies with a view to developing interactive works. She has been involved in several creative interactive media projects in Sydney. Having decided “to work for my culture”, Jilda explored the collections of the Australian Museum of examine the way in which artifacts were catalogued. She approached these museum holdings as “objects that were made to be used” and used the collection as a basis for telling stories about the use and functionality of these objects.
